This programme is conducted in two stages – Preliminary and Mains. For the preliminary level, DBI provides coaching for the General Studies Paper which is compulsory in nature and a few of the Optional Papers. The Coaching provided for the GS paper is of 4 months duration and that of the Optional Paper is of 3 months duration.
The objective of this coaching programme is to provide class-room coaching to the Civil Services aspirants from the North-Eastern States. The Institute recruits experienced resource persons to train the aspirants. Visiting faculty from the leading institutes of India also interact with the students from time to time. The Institute also arranges for interaction between the participants of this coaching programme and both the senior and newly appointed IAS officers. |
